Our private maple farm tours are educational, family-friendly, and hands-on. Guests get a behind-the-scenes look at how maple syrup is made on our family farm, from the maple trees to the finished bottle.
We welcome families, homeschool groups, schools, scouts, tourists, and organized groups looking for a unique Nova Scotia farm experience.
During your tour, we share the full maple syrup story, including tree tapping, sap collection, concentrating, boiling, filtering, and bottling. During maple season, guests may see parts of the process in action. Outside the active season, tours focus on learning, demonstrations, exploring the farm, and seeing the real tools and equipment used throughout the maple process.

Yes. While the active maple season is usually in late winter and early spring, we offer educational tours through the spring, summer, and fall. Outside of maple season, guests can still learn the full maple syrup process, see the tools and equipment we use, visit the maple trees, and enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at our family farm.
During maple season, guests may get to see parts of the maple process happening in real time, depending on the weather and sap flow. Outside the active season, we focus on demonstrations, hands-on learning, and showing the real equipment used to turn sap into syrup.
Yes. Our tours are family-friendly and educational. Children often enjoy seeing the trees, learning how sap becomes syrup, touching real maple tools, and asking questions along the way.
Yes. We welcome families, homeschool groups, schools, scouts, seniors’ groups, tourists, and organized groups. We can adjust the pace and focus of the tour depending on the group.
Some parts of the tour may be outdoors, so please dress for the weather. Comfortable shoes are recommended, especially if we are walking around the farm or visiting the maple trees.
We do our best to make visits comfortable for everyone. Some parts of the farm may have uneven ground, but we can adjust the tour route and pace when needed. Please let us know ahead of time if anyone in your group has mobility concerns.
Yes. Guests usually have the opportunity to visit our small farm shop and maple products area after the tour. Availability may vary by season.

Depending on product availability, guests may have the opportunity to sample or purchase maple products during their visit.
Tours may still go ahead in light rain, but we may adjust the outdoor portions depending on the weather. If the weather is unsafe or very poor, we can work with you to reschedule.

Yes. Saturno Maple Farm is a small family farm and homestead. Guests get to see a real farm setting and learn how maple syrup is made using the tools, equipment, and methods we use here.
Maple taffy is a seasonal item, but we may be able to offer it as a special add-on for booked visits when arranged ahead of time. Please ask when booking if your group is interested.
